Cyz Zamorano

Cynthia Patricia Zamorano Cavalcante, better known as Cyz, is a Brazilian producer, singer, and songwriter. Born in Olinda, Pernambuco, she has been interested in electronic music since she was fifteen. In 1997, she decided to incorporate electronic music into her compositions. Her career took off in Europe. There, Cyz composed, sang, and produced the album *Precyz*, which was considered by the British magazine *Straight No Chaser* as one of the best albums of 2001. Deciding to pursue a solo project, she worked with a group of musicians and producers in studios in Recife, São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, and Lisbon, and released the solo album *Littlefishdublongwatersamba* in 2004. This autobiographical album features collaborations with Gilberto Gil, Sérgio Cassiano, DJ Dolores, Zeca Baleiro, FusionLab, Fred 04, Kalaf, Tó Ricciardi, Miguel Guia, Maciel Salú, Cila do Coco, and others.
