Sol Roth

Sol Roth grew up in Eugene, Oregon as a skinny, shy kid. In high school he got his first taste of theater and was hooked. He began writing his own stories and overcame the shyness that dominated his childhood. After high-school he served in the US Army and built up his body and real life adventure experience. He attended the University of Oregon and after being inspired by the stories of independent filmmakers in the in the early pre-digital filmmaking revolution he wrote, starred, and directed the feature film "Boy Who Never Slept". He had 0 previous filmmaking experience and taught himself each part of the movie making process. The final movie was released on YouTube in 2006 garnering million of views as it became the first feature film to ever be released that way. After college, Sol Roth put everything he owned in the trunk of his car and drove down to LA. He was inspired again by the collaborative art online.
